Flaminsarge is a programmer on the Sourcemod Forumsite AlliedModders and has written and or maintained several amazing plugins for the Team Fortress 2 Community such as the Randomizer, Versus Saxton Hale / Freak Fortress, the Model Manager plugin and so on. He was introduced to the community due to Tellahleiah's and my own involvement with using and getting models setup for the Model Manager and acting as a demonstration of it working when we put up this. http://www.southerncrossgaming.org/updates/modelplugin/ Today we honor him for his help on fixing one of SCG's most annoying problems, Children. Children / Loud Mouths / Trolls and Foreigners ruin most of the fun on Saxton Hale, you try and play with your friends or other SCG'rs but constantly having to mute everyone takes the fun away. We've tried getting in admins but no one really frequents enough, we tried doing mini admins but we didn't want to keep passing out power without taking the time to make sure everyone was trustworthy and I haven't had much free time to babysit. So it's just been a mess, regular Micspamming is disabled to anyone except SCG users, we used to have a locked voice channel for SCG members until Valve broke it. So what do we have now? Anyone not in SCG is instantly muted on arrival. Clearly that will bring upon a shitstorm of elitism, but after reviewing many other choices and options, this sadly is the best working one. Anyone not a member of the group will be able to play and text chat with no issues, but will be unable to speak with their microphone, which shuts down micspammers, little kids who won't shut the fuck up and so on and so forth. Being as this group is locked, if you know someone who you know to be trustworthy, then by all means invite him/her in and they will be able to do as they wish freely without being stinted.
